For over 25 years I have been helping individuals and couples experience healing and lasting change in their personal lives and relationships. I offer a safe space in which we can explore what is most important to you and your healing.
There is no therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Since “talk therapy” isn’t always enough, my approach is a holistic one that integrates both traditional and nontraditional psychotherapy.
Depending on your unique needs, I may use or draw from: research-based traditional therapies including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, body-centered therapies such as Hakomi therapy, contemplative psychotherapy and mindfulness practice. My work is strongly influenced by humanistic and transpersonal psychology and the practices of several spiritual traditions. I also integrate many aspects of life coaching, guided imagery and relaxation techniques.
My sessions tend to be highly interactive. Rather than simply listening passively and maintaining an artificial clinical distance, I am willing to share specific suggestions, feedback and opinions whenever appropriate.
While I recognize that we must ultimately rely on and trust ourselves, it can be enormously helpful to work with someone who is honest and direct, as well as compassionate and empathetic.
