Welcome to my
website.
I am a
Licensed Professional Counselor and
Holistic Psychotherapist serving the
Denver and Boulder areas. For over twenty
years, I have been helping
individuals,
couples
and
families
in creating better lives, careers and
relationships.
Because no
single form of therapy seems to work for
everyone and talk therapy isn't always
enough, I use a
holistic therapeutic approach that
integrates traditional
and
nontraditional therapies, including
EMDR Therapy.
I work with the whole person - body,
mind and spirit.
To further explore how
I may be of service to you, please visit the
remainder of my website and then contact
me for a
free phone consultation or an
appointment in my Denver or
Boulder office. I especially encourage you
to visit
My
Therapeutic Approach,
About Me,
and EMDR. These
pages compare and contrast my
approach from the work of other therapists,
and reveal what I believe are essential
aspects of healing and change

Areas of
Specialization:

Couples counseling including
premarital counseling, is a major
focus of my practice.
While relationships can be challenging, they
can also be our greatest teachers. As a
therapist, it is personally rewarding to
help couples deepen their love, connection
and commitment. In
relationship counseling I help
couples:
|
● |
Improve
communication skills |
|
● |
Enhance passion & sexual intimacy |
|
● |
Heal
from affairs & betrayals |
|
● |
Improve
step-parenting & coparenting |
|
● |
Transform codependency |
|
● |
End
conflicts over money, sex, in-laws |

Holistic Psychotherapy and Counseling for
Individuals
A major focus
in my practice is in helping individuals
with relationship issues such as:
transforming codependent patterns,
overcoming fears of intimacy and commitment,
resolving trust issues and learning anger
management skills. Please see both my
Holistic Psychotherapy and
Marriage Counseling pages for more
information on relationships.
For over
twenty years I have been helping people
resolve traumatic experiences such as
emotional, physical and sexual abuse. As a
trauma specialist I use
EMDR Therapy to help people rapidly
resolve trauma and abuse, including
PTSD (Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder). Used in conjunction with
other interventions, EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing) is also extremely helpful when
treating depression, anxiety and
panic attacks. I have
found it particularly helpful in helping
people resolve divorces, relationship
breakups or experiences involving grief and
loss.
I am also
frequently asked to help people who are
seeking therapy because their lives seem
dissatisfying or lacking in meaning.
Many of my clients report that their current
lives (and their careers in particular)
aren't providing them with an opportunity to
"make a difference." I find it particularly
meaningful to help people clarify core
values and begin pursuing a life consistent
with what really matters to them.
Please

Holistic Psychotherapy and Counseling
page for more information about my work with
individuals.
